The Extreme Life Educational Trust has been established to contribute to the
healthy development of the children and youth of South Africa
This provides learners to participate in life orientation and leadership development
programs and certificate tasks for grades 10 to 12 at school or at the
facilities of partner organizations.
Extreme Life specialises in:
- developing outcomes-based learning programmes for the learning area Life Orientation
- facilitating outdoor Life Orientation programmes
- youth and leadership development programmes
The Extreme Life approach to Life Orientation:
Active learning -
- The material will facilitate a process of active learning, where the instructor
acts as facilitator and the learners are active participants in the learning
process.
- You will develop some of the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that you
need to develop your social, personal, intellectual, emotional and
physical abilities.
Vales-based -
- The values on which the learning material is based should be universally
acceptable in a democratic society which seeks the best for all its citizens.
- The values were selected specifically so as not to be incompatible with the
values that any faith group of South Africa would like to teach its children
